Review: Hard Candy SHEER ENVY Primer

 HARD CANDDY's SHEER ENVY PRIMER
Hard Candy's Sheer Envy Primer is a silicon based primer thats light weight, oil free, and creates an effortless flawless look on the skin. I usually don't use a primer because the ones I have tried in the past have made my face oily and has felt caked on. This one is the opposite. Upon squeezing it out of the tube, I thought it was going to be ultra greasy, but after applying and letting it dry, it felt as if nothing was on my face. It also made my face extremely smooth!

This product does not test on animals, YAY! and it is a steal for $7 ONLY at Walmart.
CONS: you have to make sure you ALWAYS shake the tube before usage. I've heard that it can separate over time and doesn't have the same affect. I've been using mine for over two weeks and it seems fine to me.
Comes out white, blends clear. It is blended here,  but you can't see.

What I LOVE:
It creates a smooth canvas for my foundation. It makes my foundation last all day with minimal oil thoughout the day as well as smooths over my large pores!I'm obsessing over this product. It beats paying $30+ for a primer at Sephora. I prefer this stuff. It also comes int two other primers that I have yet to try out. Enjoy!

Review:Sally Hansen Salon Effects Polish Strips

I decided to pick up one package of these Sally Hansen Salon Real Nail Polish Strips. They come in an array of colors as you can see! I first saw these at WALMART. They retailed for $8.50. I didn't want to buy more than one in case I hated it! I have to say, I love them. I've been painting my nails ragged and they need time to heal! So I thought this was a good alternative. The only thing is that it can be time consuming to apply.

The package contains
-16 different sized nail strips so you won't have any trouble finding one that fits you perfectly. I was worried about this because I have a strange shaped thumb on my right hand that I am so self conscious about but I had NO problem with these.
- 1 cuticle stick to push back cuticles, and trim away spare edges.

-1 small file to file away the spare strips.

I don't know why they randomly decided to give us 16 instead of 20...
As soon as I peeled off the strips, I noticed a smell similar to nail polish! It was very easy to apply. It just took some time and a steady hand.

TIPS:
Soak nails and push back cuticles before starting!
The technique I found that worked the best for me was the first measure which strip fit the nail best, peel off, and using my finger, smoothed the nail outward. The loose material I wrapped around the edge of the nail and using the file, I filed away the spare.

For the sides that were too large, using the flat side of the cuticle stick, I cut away the edges. Do not drag, doing so will make the nail strip drag as well.

You can find these anywhere. CVS, Walmart, Target... etc. It's Sally Hansen! I know other brands make them as well, but these colors were a lot prettier. I'm looking for the checkered one next! Have FUN!

Review: NYX soft matte lip cream

TOTAL MISS LIST!
SOFT MATTE LIP CREAM
I'm sure we all took advantage of the NYX anniversary sale... or those that were able to get on the website! I LOVE LOVE LOVE NYX cosmetics. I purchased a bunch of lipsticks that I will do a review later. I only bought TWO of these because I've gotten mixed reviews on them. And after trying them out, I'd have to say...

I don't like them very much.

At first swatch, they were beautiful, pigmented, and smooth... after applying them on my lips over lip balm, I was pleasantly surprised they were quite a pretty pigmented shade. After about half an hour or an hour, they smooth effect wore off and it was like the product absorbed into my lips and they became extremely DRYING! My lips are pretty drying as it is and this just made it worse.

I'm glad I decided to buy only two, because these most likely would NOT be on my most used list. I think they're okay if I put a lipgloss over them, but by themselves, EXTREMELY DRYING. Thankfully these are very inexpensive. :)

I pretty much got two of the colors that looked most alike!

Review: SHOEDAZZLE!

Hello Beauties! I'm BAACCKKK. I'm so sorry for not blogging more these last few weeks! Ever since I got back from Las Vegas I've been in this crazy daze! Then I've been sick and on antibiotics for the last two weeks. Needless to say, I've been at home and in bed and not doing ANYTHING. I've finally begun to feel better and I'm back! I just wanted to share with you guys about my purchase on SHOEDAZZLE!

SHOEDAZZLE
I'm sure you've all heard about Shoedazzle, but for those that have no idea, it's basically an online shoe membership. You take a little quiz, they match up your shoe style, and every month, they send you pictures of shoes they think would fit your style. It's $39.95 per pair of shoes, and if you don't want any shoes that month, just skip! They have great shoes. I ordered my first pair last week and it came in literally... TWO DAYS. The shipping is AMAZING!!!

The one thing I was worried about was how are these shoes going to fit. Do they run big? Do they run small? Its great because I had my eye on this pair called the Chanelle. The shoes had a 4 out of 5 rating and it runs 1/4 smaller. So I got one size up. When I received them in the mail, I was NOT disappointed.

I needed a pair of nude pumps. I love these because they have pink bottoms. The ONLY downside is the bottom has absolutely NO GRIP. So I'll be going to pick up the grips to stick on the bottom...
or like my boyfriend suggested just to go outside and scrape the bottom on the cement, gravel... lol

APRIL 2011 FAVORITES & ADVENTURES

APRIL FAVORITES!
Hello! I've been lagging on blogging, I just got back from Las Vegas and I had the most amazing time with my boyfriend and friends! :) My favorite part of the entire trip was going to Ghost Bar lounge at the top of the Palms hotel. It was the most amazing scene ever! We had such a blast.

RP & I at Ceaser's.

I can't wait to go back :)

First of all,
I want to say thanks for everyone who has subscribed and is reading my blogs. I am so appreciative of everyone that takes the time out of their day to take notice of my blog!

Anywhoo, hope everyone is having a great month. I am getting excited that it's getting closer to summertime! My favorite time of the year! I'm looking forward to taking more trips and going to the beach, the fair, BBQ's, and much more! San Diego is a GREAT place to be during the summer... actually, all year round. :)

enough rambling... here's my April Favs!

 1. Tarte Cosmetic's gel liner.
I didn't intentionally buy this, it came with a pack that I bough, but I fell in love with how smooth and long lasting this gel liner is! It's a lot smoother and easier to apply then any other gel liner I've used. It's beaten my Clinique, MAC, and Maybelline gel liner. It is a little pricey, but very well worth it, and will last forever. $22, comes with brush.

 2. Clarisonic Mia
My wonderful boyfriend bought this for me last Christmas, he had it engraved too! This thing saves my life. It helps remove the dirt and makeup that I can't remove myself from using my hands or a towel. It charges, and it's small and compact to fit anywhere. My face has improved so much after using this for the last five months! I can see a great difference. It's also a little pricey... but totally worth it. Trust me, i did a lot of research before I decided I needed it!

 3. Three FAV brushes of the month.
-EcoTools retractable travel Kabuki (Target $7)
I pretty much own all of the Eco Tools brushes available. They are SUPER affordable, and are SO SOFT. These were my first ever brushes, and I LOVE THEM. I bring this eco tools one because it has a cap and doesn't get dirty. You can't beat $7!

-Elf blush brush (Targer $3!)
Elf has some amazingly soft brushes. I love this blush brush for bronzer and blush!

-Sephora Professional Platinum Foundation Airbrush (Sephora $34)
This is the greatest brush to use for me to apply my liquid foundation. I like this a lot more because it blends amazingly and really gets into the hard to reach areas. It beats using a stippling brush because it blends like no tomorrow and doesn't leave streaks!

 4. Benefit's HOOLA Bronzer
This has been out for a while, but since it's getting closer to the summer time, I've been using a lot of this bronzer! It's matte, non oily, non greasy, and stays on ALL DAY. It's also a great color for my light/medium skin tone.

 5. NARS Deep Throat Blush
My FAVORITE and GO TO blush for the last year and a half! I've forgotten about this blush and been using my Tarte Amazon blush for a while... but I'm back to using this because it's so compact and the color is amazing. I like the deep throat a lot better then orgasm. (Sephora $26)

6. Maybelline Fit ME concealer
I'm loving Maybelline's new FIT ME line. Everything is so affordable, and it seems like such great stuff. I've been using this concealer for the last month and I couldn't ask for more. It stays on me for as long as my make up stays on and it blends amazingly! I can't hate on it for around $5! :)

Hope everyone continues to have an amazing month! Please share with me your blog!

STORAGE IDEAS!

I realized organization is the key to any sane environment.
I'm currently in the process of moving all my makeup and accessories to my spare room because it's making my bedroom way too cluttered and it's honestly hard to breath. My ever expanding collection of makeup, shoes, and accessories have taken over my life. I need to also stay organized because I seem to have a problem with forgetting about things I own unless they're right in front of my face... like that blush I bought three months ago that I haven't opened that I forgot about. We've all been there.

I've had this Lori Greiner organizer for a while now. It was in storage... Shame on me. I never realized how much stuff it holds until I actually took it out and started putting my makeup in it. Holy cow! These retail for about $24.96 on QVC. I'm sure you can find it on Ebay or Amazon as well. It's the Tabletop spinning cosmetic organizer.
What's great about this is that its spins, compact, and the top can be a lipstick/ brush holder. It holds over 100 items. I was able to clear out my three compartment draws!
Top view
Able to hold lipsticks, glosses, eyeliners, etc.
OR you can convert the top to a dome if you prefer to not hold lipsticks.

It holds quite a lot of items!

I also bought this 24-lipstick holder on Ebay. It was about $17. I underestimate my collection sometimes because 24 slots was definitely not near enough. I'll have to get another one. But I like this because its clear, tiered, and very lightweight.

Happy Organizing!

p.s. MOTHER's DAY is around the corner!
SIGMA has some amazing brush sets that would make an amazing gift!

EYELASH EXTENSIONS!

I have Asian eyelashes.
They're non existent, they stick straight out, and they can't hold a curl for the life of them. Woe is me. So what did I do?

I took the leap and got eyelash extensions! I have been so angry with my eyelashes lately because I feel like I can't do anything with them! I haven't been able to find the right kind of mascara to use that doesn't cost a whopping $30+! I looked up Yelp and found this place by my house. They were a bit cheaper then everywhere else I looked so I decided to go on a head and try them!
I sat on this table for ONE HOUR AND FOURTY FIVE minutes. It drove me crazy. I cannot sit still for the life of me. How I did it, I don't know. The things you do for beauty! The girl started off first by putting a piece of sticky paper on my lower lashes and had me close my eyes so that nothing would get into them. Then slowly she added individual lashes to my right eye, then moved to my left, and back to right, then again to the left. They needed drying time in between. It felt like an eternity. Afterward, they needed drying time and when I opened my eyes, they stung a little. The lady was nice enough to use a fan to cool my eyes. Such great service! In the end, I was so in love! I'm glad I tried it out!

These are my lashes before, with no makeup or foundation. I look sick!

Now they're long and fluttery!
I  don't need to wear mascara and I use minimal make up.
Yay! It sure does save me a lot of time in the morning.

The NEGATIVES: The first morning I woke up feeling like my eyes were so heavy. After I washed my face though, I felt better. The only thing was I wasn't allowed to let water touch the lashes for at least 24hours to let the glue fully dry. I've only been using eyeshadow as a liner because its easier to remove. They're suppose to last up to 3 weeks if you take correct care of them. I don't think I can possibly go back after this! Which was what everyone in the shop was telling me!

Stay Beautiful!
