I decided to pick up one package of these Sally Hansen Salon Real Nail Polish Strips. They come in an array of colors as you can see! I first saw these at WALMART. They retailed for $8.50. I didn't want to buy more than one in case I hated it! I have to say, I love them. I've been painting my nails ragged and they need time to heal! So I thought this was a good alternative. The only thing is that it can be time consuming to apply.
The package contains
-16 different sized nail strips so you won't have any trouble finding one that fits you perfectly. I was worried about this because I have a strange shaped thumb on my right hand that I am so self conscious about but I had NO problem with these.
- 1 cuticle stick to push back cuticles, and trim away spare edges.
-1 small file to file away the spare strips.
I don't know why they randomly decided to give us 16 instead of 20...
As soon as I peeled off the strips, I noticed a smell similar to nail polish! It was very easy to apply. It just took some time and a steady hand.
TIPS:
Soak nails and push back cuticles before starting!
The technique I found that worked the best for me was the first measure which strip fit the nail best, peel off, and using my finger, smoothed the nail outward. The loose material I wrapped around the edge of the nail and using the file, I filed away the spare.
For the sides that were too large, using the flat side of the cuticle stick, I cut away the edges. Do not drag, doing so will make the nail strip drag as well.
You can find these anywhere. CVS, Walmart, Target... etc. It's Sally Hansen! I know other brands make them as well, but these colors were a lot prettier. I'm looking for the checkered one next! Have FUN!
