Blog Challenge!

DAY 6 BLOG CHALLENGE!
Hello all! I'm back. And I'm blogging from Miami... it's about 3AM here... but 12AM in San Diego. I just had a few glasses of white wine after I arrived, but I felt like I needed to blog before bed. I LOVE Miami. It's my third time here... and I probably want to live here someday! I'll be updating frequently on my trip. BUT I still wanted to continue with this challenge as much as I have been failing... but who says it had to be consistently?! LOL.

This was a look I wore for the 4th of July. That same weekend I also went to the Swap Meet with my boyfriend and his mom. We found this stand that sold old cigar boxes. Since my boyfriend is Cuban, we HAD to get some. He has some at home already and they make great boxes for holding reciepts, michelleneaous items, and my BF's mom uses them to even hold make up. I think it's genius! And they look amazing.

Happy Summer! <3

BLOG CHALLENGE DAY 5!
I totally failed and skipped a day yesterday. I was just TOO BUSY, I couldn't even get to a computer to upload photos or blog as much as I wanted to. I'm sitting at work today on the second story as the wind is blowing through this open door and it feels SO GOOD. I wish I was at the beach enjoying this Saturday instead of sitting here. But at least I have some down time to blog! I actually wish I could be at the DEL MAR FAIR!!! Ah... I went there last week.... That will be for a different blog. LOL Here's the face of the day!

But you get the idea...I look pretty much the same everyday. :) Not so sure if this 30day challenge was such a great idea! Maybe I'll cut it short and do a different blog each day! Love you guys! DAY 07: A picture of someone that has the biggest impact on you.

HIIIIIIIIII GUYS. Okay, my apologies for not writing more often. I seem to just do this when I'm bored, or when I actually have the brain capacity to write something meanigful that I feel would be worth reading. I'm trying to continue this blog challenge, and by now I've probably failed it, but what the hey... hahaha. I'm going to try and finish this no matter how long it takes me! On to the next one...

Day seven's challenge is to post a picture of someone that the biggest impact on you. I gotta say, my FATHER probably has the biggest impact on me that anyone has ever had! WHY? Because he's my dad. I'm daddy's little girl. Always have been, and always will be. I live to make this man happy because he has never disappointed me,let me down, break a promise, etc. He is the perfect man in my eyes and I hope I can learn to love my husband the same way. I like to believe that my dad is the perfect man, but in reality, he is not. He has his mistakes and he has his flaws. From what my aunt's have told me, before I came into existence, my dad was probably one of the most feared people in the neighborhood, family, etc... in Vietnam that is. I was born in Vietnam, and my dad was known as one of the biggest trouble makers in his day. He was that guy that everyone wanted at the parties, want to drink with, because he didn't care what he said or what he did. He was crazy, and people like to be around that for some reason. To this day, when my dad gets drunk he likes to talk about how he use to be in the Vietnamese Mafia. LOL. I laugh just thinking about how silly he is. He's older now, but he has authority over everyone. What he says GOES.

So WHYYYY does he have the biggest impact on me? I have always had a closer relationship to my father then mother. My mom is really quiet, shy, and she doesn't express feelings or emotions very well. If she's upset, instead of talking things out, she will lash out, or sit and mope. My dad lashes out as well, but he will talk about it and try to work things out. He's not afraid to say "sorry, I was wrong." And that takes more from a man then anything else is to admit he's wrong. And mainly because growing up, he's the only one that's ever told me he loved me. I feel like Miss Mary from the Secret Garden saying how evil my mom was. Not at all, she loved me, she just didn't express it the way my dad did. So of course, I always looked up to him. My dad always took me to the park and spent so much quality time with me. He works hard and he plays harder. He's careful in the people he knows and he always knows someone who can help him out in any situation.

When I was young and I would cry about something he always taught me that tears are not to be shed for anything. They're a sign of weakness. He always said I should never cry for any man except him. He still believes that to this day. My dad will defend me to the very end. He believes me and let's me be myself. He doesn't restrain me to my goals because in the end he just wants to see me happy. I honestly cannot picture life without him.I tag you all to do this same blog. :)

Day 06- A hobby you have.

I wish I could tell you that I had some insane crazy hobby that sets me aside from the ordinary... The truth of the matter is, I don't really have any hobbies that I keep up with right now. Maybe that's why I feel like I've lost myself somewhere growing up because I don't do what I use to do anymore. I feel like the girl from The Notebook when she realizes she doesn't paint anymore. That's what I use to do all the time. I was all about painting and drawing. Now all I do is go to work, study, and try to spend the rest of my free time with friends and family. I don't really complain about it though. I still have time to blog and I'm all about social networking now. I guess for the time being, blogging and youtubing are my hobbies. :)

DAY05: A Picture of somewhere you've been to.

This is a picture of me at Yosemite National Park. I was standing on the edge of the road next to a tree and that's actually a lake that's behind me. The water was so clear and that clouds reflected off of the water. It was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen that I needed to stop and take a photo next to it.
I was just talking about going camping today and how much fun I had the last time that I went. Being out in the fresh air and hiking and just enjoying the peacefulness of nature is one of the most relaxing things that you can do.
Since I pretty much lived in the city my whole life, I don't get much quietness hence all the cars and alarms and sirens and etc. The ONE week that I spend in Yosemite gave me such a great sense of peacefulness. I want to go BACK...who wants to come camping with me?! Let's plan a trip!

CHALLENGE Day 3: A habit you wish you DIDN'T HAVE.

There's a bunch of habits I wished I DIDN'T HAVE... WAY TOO MANY.
There's always going to be things in my life I don't like... but I learn to live with it and move on. *SIIIIGGGHHH.* So here we go.

1. NOT being able to say NO.
Sometimes, I'm just TOO nice. I wish I was able to say No to a lot of things, but most of the time, I'm just a really big pushover. Not because I don't have the guts to say anything, but more so because I don't like dealing with confrontation. When you say NO, you have to have a reason other I then "I just don't feel like it." And saying yes and getting whatever it is over with seems more like an easy way out for me then saying NO and having an awkward moment. Is that crazy? AND a lot of the time I can never say NO to family. If it's family, I just can't say no. I feel like I own them everything.

2.Eating when I'm not even hungry.
I am probably one of the biggest SNACKERS I know. I will just have a craving for something and I must have it right away. I really hate it. And it's always something sweet, sugary, and 100% fattening. It's SO BAD. I feel like it makes me a fatty and most of the time I'm okay with that... but realizing that it's not so great for my diet, I probably should stop. I have gotten better at it though, I use to be really bad about snacking. Nowadays, I try to keep it to little sizes and not too late at night. I also cut out a lot of alcohol so that helped me out a lot. I can't live without my starbucks and my ruffles with sour cream :(

Otherwise then those two, I have habits that are basically normal. And they can easily be cured. ":)

CHALLENGE: Day 02- A picture of someONE you cannot live without.

Day 02- A picture of something someone you cannot live without.

Okay, So I may get a little emotional on this post. Because I'm in an emotional mood right now... Don't you just HATE THAT? Yuck.
BUT... anyways, A picture of something I can't live without..? I changed it and put it as SOMEONE I can't live without.. Who says I can't change the blog challenge? I make my own rules.
This is my gramps, and harsh reality is, I will HAVE to learn to live without him, and I haven't faced that reality yet because I am not willing to. This man is probably my EVERYTHING. He has never let me down, never made me cry, always made me laugh, and he's always been there for me. Whether he knows it or not, I have always looked up to him. I feel the closest to him because out of all his grandchildren, I probably know him the best. It sucks because the older he has gotten, the less he remembers, and it hurts me to think he barely knows who I am sometimes. I have to constantly remind him who I am every time I see him, but this doesn't take away from the experiences I have had with him throughout the years.
Him and my grandmother have taken care of me since I was born. I am the only child and my parents have always worked full time jobs ever sine I could remember. I grew up following my grandpa around the garden, watering plants and taking walks around the neighborhood. I remember him picking me up from school as a kid. He can't even walk now. He got into an accident a few years ago and he's never been the same since. He used to do a lot of artwork before, and I learned patience just sitting and watching him draw. He always was a strict man, he always loved to have me around, but the most important thing about him was that he always loved me. He never made me cry, he taught me that no matter what I do in life, to make sure that I was HAPPY. He taught me that FAMILY is EVERYTHING.
Even to this day, he teaches me that family is everything. He lives in a nursing home now because we don't have the availibitly to take care of him like he needs to be. At least three of my aunts or uncles come to see him everyday and feed him lunch and dinner. EVERYDAY. He is never lonely, and he gets excited every single time one of us come in. Nowadays, I just sit with him in silence, but I hug him and hold his hand, and I know he knows its me and I know he knows I love him.
I would not be who I am today without him. He has taught he respect. And I know eventually he'll be gone... but for right now, I'm happy he's still here.

Courtesy of Rach D Morales, I thought I'd start this 30 blog challenge.
