Happy Father's Day!

Daddy's Girl
I hope everyone is enjoying their Father's Day weekend. I'm having a BBQ at my Uncle's house with a bunch of the dad's in my family. I hope everyone took a moment out of their day to let every father figure in their lives know how much they're appreciated. I am a daddy's girl and I appreciate my dad for all his hard work that he puts into making our family function. Love him!

Enjoy your day, DAD!

Review: SHOEDAZZLE!

Hello Beauties! I'm BAACCKKK. I'm so sorry for not blogging more these last few weeks! Ever since I got back from Las Vegas I've been in this crazy daze! Then I've been sick and on antibiotics for the last two weeks. Needless to say, I've been at home and in bed and not doing ANYTHING. I've finally begun to feel better and I'm back! I just wanted to share with you guys about my purchase on SHOEDAZZLE!

SHOEDAZZLE
I'm sure you've all heard about Shoedazzle, but for those that have no idea, it's basically an online shoe membership. You take a little quiz, they match up your shoe style, and every month, they send you pictures of shoes they think would fit your style. It's $39.95 per pair of shoes, and if you don't want any shoes that month, just skip! They have great shoes. I ordered my first pair last week and it came in literally... TWO DAYS. The shipping is AMAZING!!!

The one thing I was worried about was how are these shoes going to fit. Do they run big? Do they run small? Its great because I had my eye on this pair called the Chanelle. The shoes had a 4 out of 5 rating and it runs 1/4 smaller. So I got one size up. When I received them in the mail, I was NOT disappointed.

I needed a pair of nude pumps. I love these because they have pink bottoms. The ONLY downside is the bottom has absolutely NO GRIP. So I'll be going to pick up the grips to stick on the bottom...
or like my boyfriend suggested just to go outside and scrape the bottom on the cement, gravel... lol

CHECK IT OUT HERE.

APRIL 2011 FAVORITES & ADVENTURES

APRIL FAVORITES!
Hello! I've been lagging on blogging, I just got back from Las Vegas and I had the most amazing time with my boyfriend and friends! :) My favorite part of the entire trip was going to Ghost Bar lounge at the top of the Palms hotel. It was the most amazing scene ever! We had such a blast.

RP & I at Ceaser's.

I can't wait to go back :)

First of all,
I want to say thanks for everyone who has subscribed and is reading my blogs. I am so appreciative of everyone that takes the time out of their day to take notice of my blog!

Anywhoo, hope everyone is having a great month. I am getting excited that it's getting closer to summertime! My favorite time of the year! I'm looking forward to taking more trips and going to the beach, the fair, BBQ's, and much more! San Diego is a GREAT place to be during the summer... actually, all year round. :)

enough rambling... here's my April Favs!

 1. Tarte Cosmetic's gel liner.
I didn't intentionally buy this, it came with a pack that I bough, but I fell in love with how smooth and long lasting this gel liner is! It's a lot smoother and easier to apply then any other gel liner I've used. It's beaten my Clinique, MAC, and Maybelline gel liner. It is a little pricey, but very well worth it, and will last forever. $22, comes with brush.

 2. Clarisonic Mia
My wonderful boyfriend bought this for me last Christmas, he had it engraved too! This thing saves my life. It helps remove the dirt and makeup that I can't remove myself from using my hands or a towel. It charges, and it's small and compact to fit anywhere. My face has improved so much after using this for the last five months! I can see a great difference. It's also a little pricey... but totally worth it. Trust me, i did a lot of research before I decided I needed it!

 3. Three FAV brushes of the month.
-EcoTools retractable travel Kabuki (Target $7)
I pretty much own all of the Eco Tools brushes available. They are SUPER affordable, and are SO SOFT. These were my first ever brushes, and I LOVE THEM. I bring this eco tools one because it has a cap and doesn't get dirty. You can't beat $7!

-Elf blush brush (Targer $3!)
Elf has some amazingly soft brushes. I love this blush brush for bronzer and blush!

-Sephora Professional Platinum Foundation Airbrush (Sephora $34)
This is the greatest brush to use for me to apply my liquid foundation. I like this a lot more because it blends amazingly and really gets into the hard to reach areas. It beats using a stippling brush because it blends like no tomorrow and doesn't leave streaks!

 4. Benefit's HOOLA Bronzer
This has been out for a while, but since it's getting closer to the summer time, I've been using a lot of this bronzer! It's matte, non oily, non greasy, and stays on ALL DAY. It's also a great color for my light/medium skin tone.

 5. NARS Deep Throat Blush
My FAVORITE and GO TO blush for the last year and a half! I've forgotten about this blush and been using my Tarte Amazon blush for a while... but I'm back to using this because it's so compact and the color is amazing. I like the deep throat a lot better then orgasm. (Sephora $26)

6. Maybelline Fit ME concealer
I'm loving Maybelline's new FIT ME line. Everything is so affordable, and it seems like such great stuff. I've been using this concealer for the last month and I couldn't ask for more. It stays on me for as long as my make up stays on and it blends amazingly! I can't hate on it for around $5! :)

Hope everyone continues to have an amazing month! Please share with me your blog!

HAUL TIME!

Thrift Store Treasures!
I've been feeling like rocking gold lately...
I've  been going on an accessory binge. I told myself that I wouldn't be purchasing anymore makeup or beauty products for the next month and a half... I know! So I need to focus my energy on something else. I've been working on turning my extra room in my house into a closet/ beauty room. So far, I've gotten a lot of stuff cleared out, but still have tons of things to go through and donate! It's fun yet tiring!  My rooms look like a mess! I feel like a hoarder.

So I've been wanting to go to thrift stores and antique shops lately. My boyfriend is such a good sport and goes with all the time. I found this awesome chunky gold charm bracelet for like $8! I looked it up online when I got home and it was a Jessica Simpson Charm that retails for $60. I love it!

I also found this really cute owl necklace that has been popular forever. I had a smaller one a long time ago but it broke. This was only $2 so why not!? It's a great statement piece.

I found this great piece in an antique shop. I think it was around $10? It was actually marked down from $25, so I was pretty happy. I wore it to dinner the other night with a black top and it was just the perfect pop of gold.

I've also been looking for a gold watch that won't be too out there that I can wear everyday. I found this great gold BCBG watch with a white leather strap that retails for $150 for only $40. :)

These bangle's I bought at F21 and the locket there as well. I just thought they were cute and would go well with any outfit. They were both under $10.
Who says you can't get great accessories for a great price? I'm still on a never ending search. Just thought I'd share my purchases with those of you who care!

Happy shopping!

EYELASH EXTENSIONS!

I have Asian eyelashes.
They're non existent, they stick straight out, and they can't hold a curl for the life of them. Woe is me. So what did I do?

I took the leap and got eyelash extensions! I have been so angry with my eyelashes lately because I feel like I can't do anything with them! I haven't been able to find the right kind of mascara to use that doesn't cost a whopping $30+! I looked up Yelp and found this place by my house. They were a bit cheaper then everywhere else I looked so I decided to go on a head and try them!
I sat on this table for ONE HOUR AND FOURTY FIVE minutes. It drove me crazy. I cannot sit still for the life of me. How I did it, I don't know. The things you do for beauty! The girl started off first by putting a piece of sticky paper on my lower lashes and had me close my eyes so that nothing would get into them. Then slowly she added individual lashes to my right eye, then moved to my left, and back to right, then again to the left. They needed drying time in between. It felt like an eternity. Afterward, they needed drying time and when I opened my eyes, they stung a little. The lady was nice enough to use a fan to cool my eyes. Such great service! In the end, I was so in love! I'm glad I tried it out!

These are my lashes before, with no makeup or foundation. I look sick!

Now they're long and fluttery!
I  don't need to wear mascara and I use minimal make up.
Yay! It sure does save me a lot of time in the morning.

The NEGATIVES: The first morning I woke up feeling like my eyes were so heavy. After I washed my face though, I felt better. The only thing was I wasn't allowed to let water touch the lashes for at least 24hours to let the glue fully dry. I've only been using eyeshadow as a liner because its easier to remove. They're suppose to last up to 3 weeks if you take correct care of them. I don't think I can possibly go back after this! Which was what everyone in the shop was telling me!

Stay Beautiful!

A DAY IN THE LIFE:SATURDAY♥

A SATURDAY IN MY LIFE :]

HI GUYS! Hope you all had a WONDERFUL Saturday. It's one of my favorite days of the week. I get to RELAX, sleep in, and enjoy life! The family's home, no one's at work. It's great. This particular Saturday my boyfriend RP and I decided we were going to the swap meet. Well, I decided we were going to the swamp meet LOL. We went to KOBEY'S swap meet. We like looking at old junky things because we're both really big fans of shows such as American Pickers and Pawn Stars. Both shows are basically about people buying old things that have awesome history behind them.Anyways, I picked up two pairs of sunglasses at the swap meet, two eye brushes from some random brand and some nail decals. All for under $20. I was pretty proud of myself :) Afterward we went to have lunch at Corvette Diner. It was my first time there! I got a green river limeade soda. SO GOOD! And I ordered the B.L.A.S.T. sandwich.
I also went to Sephora and Walmart and got a few things. This is probably the only downside of having days off because since I'm not working, I'm out spending money. LOL. oh well. You gotta invest in what you LOVE. I went to Sephora and picked up their LASHSTASH mascara deluxe sampler thing, a new NARS DEEP THROAT blush because I was almost out of my other one and I dropped it and it broke. :( I'll do a review on it since it's one of my FAVORITE blushes. I prefer it over Orgasm. I also picked up Sephora's brand waterproof retractable eyeliner. I'm going to test it out to see if I like it.  I'm excited to test out the Mascara samplers!

I went to Walmart and got ...
1.A BIORE heating face wash. This stuff is amazing. It heats up as you apply it!
2.BIORE pore strips. I needed a cleanse of my pores!
3. A CLAY Avocado and oatmeal face mask. I have the cucumber one at home and  wanted to try this one. I'll do a review as soon as I can test it out a few times.
4. Tree HUT body butter in Coconut lime. I couldn't resist, it smelled so good!
5. A much needed LOOFAH! :)
6. A comb for me to blow dry my hair. haha.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and don't forget to SPRING FORWARD!

STORAGE IDEAS

ORGANIZATION RESTORATION
I'm sorry I've been a little crazy the last two days and have been blogging with INSANITY! I think because I've been wanting to blog for so long and I haven't that I've gotten this spurt of energy and I'm exploding with excitement to share with you guys. LOL... If you've read this far and realize I'm crazy, I understand if you no longer want to read my blogs... I'll continue to write in case one day you come back to me. LOL.
ANYWAYS. I was in DIRE NEED of some sort of new storage for my nail polish, everyday makeup that I grab for, ETC. Basically I needed something cute to put all my crap in! I was at Target today and in the desk supplies area, and I saw these shelve things on clearance. There were a bunch of them left and I was contemplating on how many to get. I figure one for now to see if I liked it or not.

It matches my mirror I just got at WALMART for $32
Originally $17.99 on clearance for $12.58
I just threw my polishes on top and some randoms on the bottom.
I also found these stackable little storage bins.
I love that they slide out and offer enough room to fit my large and small palettes. I'm still deciding what things to put in here. I like how they're see through and look neat on my desk. SO GLAD I found these. I walked into Target just looking for plastic bins for my polishes.

I LOVE TARGET!
THE THINGS YOU FIND...and the $$$ you spend. -_-

That's WHY you're my EX.

Hi GUYS! I know I have been M.I.A. and I apologize... again. I promise to get back into blogging, making videos, doing reviews and all that jazz. I was on Twitter the other day and a topic that was trending was #That'swhyyou'remyEX. I then saw that RachD aka LOVEblendnBeauty wrote about it. I thought it was funny and I figure I do MY list of reason's why my exes are my exes.

I would consider myself still young and pretty dumb about my relationship decision making at times. I am the poster child when it comes to being a doormat and getting walked all over by guys. NO MORE! And no girl should ever feel that way nor think of herself that way. Two words pretty much summed it up for me "TOO NICE." I was WAY too nice and when I got into my first serious relationship when I was 18, I was an idiot. I never dated in high-school just because I didn't really have that "connection" with anyone. So I was a late bloomer. I started dating this idiot guy that was way older, and was way more manipulative. So long story short- I finally found the strength to end it. I'm indifferent about dating him just because I'm happy with the learning experience. I guess when I think about it, I wouldn't regret it. I'm smarter, stronger, and more independent NOW then I ever was. I know what I want and I'm not going to settle for less because I know I'm WORTH IT. And any guy that doesn't want to work hard to get me and to keep me, isn't worth it. I deserve the best because I give the best.

Here are MY REASONS WHY he's MY EX.

He's FAKE at FIRST
Have you ever met that guy where he breaks down his entire net worth on the first date? Usually when this happens, he's faking the funk. I always think guys  talk a big talk to make up for lack of other things OR the fact that he just thinks of you as prey and wants to reel you in with his lies. I myself have unfortunately fell for this- just because I give everyone the benefit of the doubt and I give everyone a chance to see what they're all about. Remember, a long and healthy relationship is not based on money and superficiality. When he brags that he has all this stuff and drives a nice car and blah blah blah, he most likely doesn't really. Anyone who works hard for their shit let's their accomplishments do the talking. A guy that puts too much effort into impressing you at first usually forgets he needs to keep putting in effort to keep you.

HE HAS NOTHING GOING FOR HIM
A girl needs to feel that she can be taken care of... NOW and in the future. If you've got nothing going for you NOW... then the prospects of the future look slim.

HE HAS NO MANNERS
I can't stand a guy who walks into a room and not says HI to anyone in there, being my friends, family, his friends, ETC. It's just rude. Treat others with respect and you'll get it in return. Introduce yourself! You are NOT King Shit.  Even the small things bug me. Cover your mouth when you cough, hold open the door, say please and thank you... it all adds up.

HE'S BROKE AND NOT DOING NOTHING ABOUT IT.
I understand we're in college and getting an education and all BROKE. But being broke to a certain extent. I mean... you CAN get a job. But if you're sitting at home on a daily basis NOT going to school and not getting a job and staying broke... it's a NO GO.

HE'S CLOSED MINDED & IGNORANT
I can't stand a guy that is IGNORANT, an idiot, and refuses to learn. I need someone open minded and willing to learn and try new things.

HE DOESN'T LIKE KIDS or ANIMALS
UH... Hello? I'm trying to have kids and raise a family with someone that WANTS their kids.

HE DOESN'T GET ALONG WITH THE FAMS, ESPECIALLY POPS.
Its a fact that the first man a girl falls in love with is her father. I love my dad unconditionally, STRAIGHT DADDY'S GIRL. So whatever man that's in my life really has big shoes to fill. Daddy must approve of him. I'm not gonna be that girl that defies her dad and dates who I want. I know that if I want a happy and long relationship, my dad needs to have my back. Otherwise, I'll sit here and wonder about what could have been.

HE HAS TO HAVE A SENSE OF STYLE
I really cannot date a guy who still dressing like he lives in 1995. You don't need to be dressing in fancy expensive clothes, but PLEASE don't look like you go shopping in your grandfather's closet. Please let your clothes FIT and not hang off you like you just lost 100 pounds. Thanks.

HE HAS NO SENSE OF HUMOR
I need a guy that can make me laugh and keep me laughing! No one wants a monotone dull boyfriend, I know I sure don't.

SO YES. I have EX's and we ALL have ex's because of these reasons.
I'm in a wonderful relationship now and he's great just the way he is. I wouldn't have it any other way :] Thanks for reading!

CHALLENGE: Day 02- A picture of someONE you cannot live without.

Day 02- A picture of something someone you cannot live without.

Okay, So I may get a little emotional on this post. Because I'm in an emotional mood right now... Don't you just HATE THAT? Yuck.
BUT... anyways, A picture of something I can't live without..? I changed it and put it as SOMEONE I can't live without.. Who says I can't change the blog challenge? I make my own rules.
This is my gramps, and harsh reality is, I will HAVE to learn to live without him, and I haven't faced that reality yet because I am not willing to. This man is probably my EVERYTHING. He has never let me down, never made me cry, always made me laugh, and he's always been there for me. Whether he knows it or not, I have always looked up to him. I feel the closest to him because out of all his grandchildren, I probably know him the best. It sucks because the older he has gotten, the less he remembers, and it hurts me to think he barely knows who I am sometimes. I have to constantly remind him who I am every time I see him, but this doesn't take away from the experiences I have had with him throughout the years.
Him and my grandmother have taken care of me since I was born. I am the only child and my parents have always worked full time jobs ever sine I could remember. I grew up following my grandpa around the garden, watering plants and taking walks around the neighborhood. I remember him picking me up from school as a kid. He can't even walk now. He got into an accident a few years ago and he's never been the same since. He used to do a lot of artwork before, and I learned patience just sitting and watching him draw. He always was a strict man, he always loved to have me around, but the most important thing about him was that he always loved me. He never made me cry, he taught me that no matter what I do in life, to make sure that I was HAPPY. He taught me that FAMILY is EVERYTHING.
Even to this day, he teaches me that family is everything. He lives in a nursing home now because we don't have the availibitly to take care of him like he needs to be. At least three of my aunts or uncles come to see him everyday and feed him lunch and dinner. EVERYDAY. He is never lonely, and he gets excited every single time one of us come in. Nowadays, I just sit with him in silence, but I hug him and hold his hand, and I know he knows its me and I know he knows I love him.
I would not be who I am today without him. He has taught he respect. And I know eventually he'll be gone... but for right now, I'm happy he's still here.
